During the e-Invoice era, it is crucial to set up your customer’s tax entity (we will teach you in this guide), however it is also essential for you to do a one-time set up of your company’s tax entity as well.


This article will show you how to set your company’s tax entity so you can start your e-Invoice process in Cloud Accounting!


1. Log in to your Cloud Accounting at: https://accounting.autocountcloud.com/ and select your Account book. To continue to step 2, please make sure you have enabled the e-Invoice function(Refer to: Enable e-Invoice function)



2. On top right, click on ‘Account Book’ setting and from the selection click ‘Company Profileand click ‘Edit’ on Company Info.







3. Click ‘Tax Entity’ a small dropdown box will appear, click on + to add Tax Entity.





4. Tax Entity window will pop up and kindly key in all the information, and click ‘Save’.

Individuals and entities who are registered taxpayers with the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) are assigned with a TIN, also known as “Nombor Pengenalan Cukai”

Enter the 12 digits Business Registration Number

SST Registration Number

Taxpayers registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) are required to only input the new business registration number, which is 12-digit characters.

 For taxpayers that are registered with other authority / body, the taxpayers are required to input the relevant registration number.

Tourism Tax Registration Number

Enter Tourism Tax Registration Number if applicable

MSIC Code (Malaysia Standard Industrial Classification)

5-digit numeric code that represent the business nature and activity 

Business Activity Description 

Auto-filled field upon choosing the MSIC code

Address/Post Code / Zip Code/ 

City/State Name/Country

Address (registered, business, residential, etc.) of business or individual who will be the issuer of the e-Invoice in a commercial transaction 

Phone

Telephone number (e.g., office, mobile, fax)

5. Click ‘Save’ here again and you are done!
