This guide will assist you in creating / maintaining a rule maintenance.


Purpose: A Rule is necessary for the creation of a shift, it acts as a restriction for the shift, providing clearer guidelines such as defining the clocking method, minimum & maximum OT hour per day, OT & Lateness rounding and etc.


To create / maintain a rule in Rule Maintenance, click on Human Resource > Rule Maintenance under Attendance Management.



Click on Add New at the top right corner to add a new rule.



In the Rule Maintenance page, maintain the necessary information such as the Code & Description and select the shift from the list that will be following this rule.



Select the day of the week in Daily Default Shifts if you have a fixed schedule from one day to another within a week.  If you do not have a fixed schedule, you may ignore this step.



Next, you may maintain the adhoc settings such as Early Out/Lateness Setting & Overtime Settings if you have any special requirement for your shift. If not then you may just skip this step.



Lastly, you may choose your preferred choice of clocking method. If you select Geolocation, you may choose whether you want the employee to clock in within a certain location with a defined radius or not. Furthermore, in every single one of the clocking method, you may choose to select an Additional Action that would require staff to take a selfie upon clocking in.



Select a clocking method, example; Geolocation. Tick Geolocation & Geolocation is required to match with defined address and click on Add New to add a new address.



Key in the address and click on Get Location to get the location of the address and key in the Acceptable Radius (Meter) as well. The recommended amount is 50meters minimum as GPS are not 100% accurate. Once done, click on Save to add the new address.



Once done, click on Save to save the changes made and the rule will be created.
