This guide will explain how to maintain the Early Out/Lateness setting in Rule Maintenance.
This setting is for user to set whether there are any rounding for early out/lateness. There are two options for the Early Out / Lateness Roundup. One is No Rounding where there will be no rounding for the early out or lateness. Whereas another one would be Round Up, this is where there will be rounding for the early out or lateness and users are required to select the rounding time.
For example, the shift in time set as 9:00 am; the shift out time at 6:00pm with lateness buffer 15 mins
Below scenario is example for early out/lateness setting:
i. No Rounding
Actual Shift: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Clock in:9:32am
Clock out: 5:18pm
RESULT
Lateness: 32minutes [9:32am – 9:00am]
Early Out: 42minutes [6:00pm – 5:18pm]
ii. Rounding 15 minutes
Actual Shift: 9:00am – 6:00pm
Clock in: 9:41am
Clock out: 5:12pm
RESULT
Lateness: [9:41am – 9:00am]
41minutes => Round up 15 minutes => 45 minutes
Early Out: [6:00pm – 5:12pm]
48 minutes => Round up 15 minutes => 1 hour
