This guide will assist you in using the 'Exclude OT Calculation' feature in Rule Maintenance.





  • This function is used to exclude certain work hours based on the selection when No OT Request is required for OT Calculation is ticked. 
  • There are 5 options for users to select on which part of the working hours they would like to exclude into the OT Calculation : Before Shift, Break 1, Break 2, Break 3, & After Shift.

Calculation: 

Total Worked Hours – Shift Working Hours = Overtime Worked Hours

Overtime Worked Hours – Excluded Overtime Worked Hours (based on the selection) = Acceptable Overtime Worked Hours
 

Settings: 

Shift in time: 10:00am

Shift out time: 4:00pm 

Break hour: 1 hour 

Total Shift working hours: 5 hours 

 

 

Data

Clock in time: 9:40am

Clock out time: 5:49pm

 

Calculation

Total Worked Hours = 5:49pm – 9:40am = 8.15hours // 8 hours 9 minutes

Overtime Worked Hours = Total Worked Hours – Shift Working Hours

=8.2hours – 5hours

=3.2hours

 

Exclude Overtime Worked Hours = Before Shift Time + Break 1 Time

= (10am – 9:40am) + 1hour

= 1.3hours

 

Acceptable Overtime Worked Hours = Overtime Worked Hours – Excluded Overtime Worked Hours

= 3.2hours – 1.3hours

= 1 hour 49 minutes


 

 

Hence in attendance transaction will show 1hours and 49 minutes in the overtime actual column.
