Employee B joined the company on 1 July 2025 and is entitled to 12 days of annual leave per year

The number of leave days B receives upon joining depends on the settings of the following two configuration questions: 


1. How would you like this leave to be calculated?

  • Yearly – The full leave entitlement for the calendar year is provided upfront.
  • Monthly – Leave is accrued monthly and becomes available only after each month is completed.
  • Monthly Advance – Leave is allocated monthly in advance at the beginning of each month.


2. When would you like for this leave calculation to start?

  • 1st of Jan – The leave entitlement is calculated based on the full calendar year, regardless of the employee’s join date.
  • Join Date – The leave entitlement is prorated based on the employee’s join date within the calendar year.


Note: If the calculated entitled days is less than 0.5 days, it will be rounded down. If it is 0.5 days or more, it will be rounded up.
